Modernizing a legacy training website
A tax accountant certification site needed a refresh and some modern touches
Background
My second day on this project, I was shown the public website as it had existed since 2008-9. The company's design and branding language had changed three times and the site looked forgotten.
The biggest use of the site was to search for classes, seminars and workshops that tax accountants are required to take in order to certify to remain a tax accountant. The search results we very clunky and didn't reflect the modern design of the other sites in the tax and accounting product area.
Goals
- Design the search results page to reflect the current brand with current-day search and search results best practices
- Show the ability to filter search results
- Fix the initial search result page so results can show more information than the current results
- Design the coursework marketing pages to reflect current branding
- Design package pricing pages
- Design and show responsive examples
